Consultation and patch test are free. Dates are an example only; your spacing is set at consultation.

    The technology

Two lasers, chosen for your skin.

Not a one-size IPL. Rewind uses medical-grade diode and Nd:YAG wavelengths, and we choose the one that suits your skin tone and hair type at your free patch test.

    808nm

    Diode

The gold standard for fair to olive skin. Fast, effective and virtually painless, with built-in cooling as it works.

    1064nm

    Nd:YAG

A longer wavelength that passes the surface pigment, making it the safer choice for deeper and darker skin tones.

    Safe on all skin tones

    How it works

From patch test to sixth session.

Hair grows in cycles, and laser only affects follicles in their active phase. That's why every course is six sessions, spaced a few weeks apart.

    1. Free consultation & patch test

Thirty minutes. We look at your skin and hair, choose diode or YAG, patch test and give you a written plan with prices.

    2. Prepare

Shave the area 24 hours before. No waxing, plucking or tanning, and come with clean skin.

    3. Treatment

The cooled handpiece glides over the skin in quick pulses. Most clients describe a warm flick. Small areas take minutes.

    4. Between sessions

Treated hairs shed over two to three weeks. Wear SPF, avoid heat for a day or two, and book your next session.

    5. Six sessions later

Long-term reduction, smoother skin and far less time spent shaving. Some clients like an occasional top-up.

    Six sessions to summer

Start next week, finish by spring.

An example course with sessions about five weeks apart. Your actual spacing depends on the area and is set at consultation.

    Laser FAQs

    Before you book.

Straight answers, including the ones that might put you off.

    Is laser hair removal painful?

Most clients describe it as virtually painless: a quick warm flick, with the handpiece cooling your skin as it goes. Coarser areas like the bikini line can feel a little sharper, and you can ask for a pause at any time.

Why a course of six sessions?

Hair grows in cycles, and laser only affects hairs in their active growth phase. Spacing six sessions a few weeks apart lets us catch each follicle at the right moment. That's why every laser course at Rewind is six sessions.

Is it safe for my skin tone?

Yes. We use medical-grade diode and Nd:YAG lasers. Diode suits fair to olive skin, and the longer YAG wavelength is the safer choice for deeper skin tones. We choose the laser and settings for your skin and hair at your free patch test.

Will it work on blonde, red or grey hair?

Honestly, usually not. Laser targets pigment in the hair, so very light, red, grey or white hair rarely responds well. We'll tell you at your consultation rather than sell you a course that won't work.

How should I prepare for a session?

Shave the area 24 hours before. Don't wax, pluck, thread or use hair-removal creams for four weeks before or during your course. Avoid sun, sunbeds and fake tan for two weeks before each session.

    What's the aftercare?

Some redness for a few hours is normal. Avoid heat (hot baths, saunas, the gym) for 24–48 hours, skip perfumed products on the area for a day, and wear SPF 30+ on treated skin throughout your course.

How does the laser-season offer work?

Courses of six are currently 50% off. The offer price is the total for all six sessions, paid upfront, so underarms is £300 for the course, which is £50 a session. A consultation and patch test are required before treatment.
